Matt Grossberg - Founder, President, and CEO  

Matt started Integrated Specialty Coverages in 2016 with a goal of bringing strong management teams and profitable programs to carrier partners and its reinsurance partners. Matt’s front end management of agents and brokers by loss ratio and his back-end focus on claims administration has ensured significant profitability in sectors and geographies where others have fallen short.  Matt was the former CEO of NII Brokerage, a multi-line full-service brokerage firm, which from 2007 to 2011 grew to over 36 locations and generated over $100M in annual premium.  That business was acquired in 2011 by a national broker and in 2012 the national broker was acquired by a private equity firm.  Since 2012 Matt has consulted with private equity firms such as Warburg Pincus, Aquiline Capital Partners, CV Starr, Two Sigma, and HGGC. In 2014 Matt was hired as CEO to help build and run a Private Equity backed $150M premium MGA in Florida.  During his tenure he was able to reduce loss experience, add quota share partners, and increase EBITDA margins.  Matt left that organization to start ISC in 2016.

Brad Feld - Chief Operating Officer & Chief Information Officer

Brad brings unique insurance technology and data & analytics expertise to ISC. He has spent years building data and technology products for third-party vendors, has designed large-scale technology projects in the retail space, and before helping to launch ISC, Brad was the CIO at Swett & Crawford managing all Brokerage & MGA platforms with a focus on cost-effective development of best in class data capture and analytics modules and class rate, quote, bind issue portals for brokers to do business efficiently online. Due to the reliance on data and operations to generate new programs and operate them profitably, Brad also led new product (MGA) development at Swett. Pre-Swett & Crawford: Brad helped to start and ran product development for Advisen, a first mover in the insurance data and analytics space. Brad also led and designed v2 of the WillPLACE platform, the proprietary and global data & analytics platform for Willis North America that is still the firm’s most strategic IT investment. WillPLACE analytics are used to advise clients and serve them by exerting leverage with wholesale and direct markets on behalf of Willis clients.

Ken Perilli - Chief Financial Officer

Until January, 2017 Ken was Senior Vice President of Finance for Confie Seguros Holdings (“Confie”), Personable Holdings, Inc. (“Personable”), and Peachtree Casualty Insurance Company (“Peachtree”), where he also served as a Director.  Confie is one of the top 5 independent Property/Casualty agencies in the United States, with Revenues approaching $500m and over 3,000 employees in more than 700 locations. Ken joined Confie in August 2014 as a result of Confie’s acquisition of Personable and Peachtree, the sale of which was led by Ken and the Company’s other Senior Executives. During his time at both Personable/Peachtree and Confie, Ken has been intimately involved in all MGA and Insurance Carrier acquisitions and financings, playing a key role in due diligence, proforma modelling, and post-acquisition integration.

Tim Nickel - President

Tim joined ISC following a 16-year career in investment banking and private equity.  Tim held sourcing, diligence, execution and portfolio company maintenance responsibilities at two multi billion-dollar private equity firms.  Most recently, Tim was a partner at ABRY Partners in Boston. Prior to ABRY, he worked at Spectrum Equity Investors in San Francisco.  While at both ABRY and Spectrum, he invested over $1.0 billion in the insurance industry across a number of different platforms.  Each of these deals was driven by (i) organic and acquisition growth and (ii) a stable, recurring base of premium or revenue.  These platforms included MGAs, retail brokerage businesses and third party administrators.  He maintains extensive transaction sourcing and financing relationships throughout the insurance industry.

Kevin J. O’ Connor - Executive Vice President - Underwriting

Kevin Has over 30 years of program experience as an underwriter and reinsurance broker. He has been responsible for developing Billions of dollars in Program premium volume. The classes he managed include Commercial auto, Auto dealers, Contractors, D&O, Habitational, Hospitality, Surety, & Umbrella.

He has been an active member of numerous insurance associations including WISA, Target Markets, and Chart Exchange. Kevin has been a Coverholder with Lloyds for over 25-years. Most recently he was a partner in an MGA that wrote over $80,000,00 in RBT business. This portfolio consistently had over 20,000,000 in the London Market.

Kevin leads ISC’s Hospitality practice and will be launching a Bars & Taverns program in Q3 2018 and has a program pipeline consisting of numerous niche classes and exposures.

Rick Cote - Program Manager 

Rick leads the ISC Property / Liability Practice and is responsible for its profitability and underwriting management. Rick has over twenty-years of Underwriting, Program Management, and Distribution experience while working at MiddleOak, a Property and Casualty Mutual Company operating in over thirty states. At MiddleOak, Rick created the strategic vision and implementation plan for business expansion, partnering with 10 wholesalers ranging in size from $40-$800 million dollars in written premium nationwide.  In Rick’s role, he was tasked with constantly assessing loss ratio trends to identify any high-risk profiles and develop subsequent action plans to eradicate or mitigate risk exposure.
